We are excited to announce our third Discovery Hike with Mara Meisel scheduled for Saturday
She chose September 24th at
Big Gem Park. 1 mile loop trail. Elevation gain of about 100 feet. Please wear sturdy shoes. The trail is rocky and uneven. It will be taking place from 10am to 12 noon on the Clinton Lucas, Jr Trail. All ages are welcome to join Mara to see what flora and fauna they can discover. Mara Meisel is a retired Shenandoah National Park Ranger-Naturalist with 30 years’ experience. Big Gem Park is located at 736 Fourth Street in Shenandoah Va. Don’t forget your sunscreen, bug spray and binoculars. No Pets Please.
