Changes to Trash Service In Town of Shenandoah
We read the following from the Town of Shenandoah Facebook page that was posted on July 3, 2023:
“TRASH PICK-UP UPDATE FOR THIS WEEK: Trash pick-up will begin on Wednesday, July 5 at 5 AM. Please make sure you have your trash out on Tuesday evening. Every effort will be made to try to get all trash picked up on Wednesday, but it may take two days again this week as the trash company continues to learn the routes. More information about the new trash service will be announced in the coming weeks. One change that takes effect immediately is where you put your trash. Please do NOT put your trash in the alley. Trash will only be picked up on the street.”
From Town Council Actions June 27, 2023 Item 6. Received two bids for refuse removal from Updike and Waste Management. After some discussion, approval was made to choose Updike Industries and provide dual use customers with 2 carts to begin with.
