Shenandoah Newz was invited to Harrisonburg for a private tour of a brand new athletic facility by the name of Horizons Edge Sports Complex located at 325 Cornerstone Lane, Harrisonburg VA 22802. The facility will be fully open to the public in January 2020.
This facility is built for youth and adults. Various leagues, camps, tournaments, group/party reservations and more will be offered. According to the official Horizons Edge website: “At Horizons Edge, our vision is to harness the power of sports to change lives, empower athletes, and use competition for good.
The 90,000 sq. ft. fieldhouse is massive and impressive when seen in person. Inside the doors you will find 4 indoor basketball/volleyball courts, a huge artificial turf indoor soccer/multipurpose field, a climbing area, guest desk, fully stocked concession area, party room, lots of viewing/social areas, offices and storage rooms. Outside is equally impressive with a regulation soccer field, viewing area and parking.
