The old Verbena Lodge building is located on Pennsylvania Avenue was built in April of 1903. It has been home to various organizations throughout the years, to include Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Avis O. Comer Post Auxiliary, and even the United States Post Office. The hall was rented in 1913 to W.S. Long and W.O. Huddle, who operated an opera House for six year, having movies, road shows and local talent shows.
