The volunteers of Company 70 have kept this tradition alive for over 50 years.

They have made wonderful childhood memories for thousands of children that grew up in our town and surrounding areas. Thanks to all of Company 70 volunteers for providing our children the opportunity to experience this wonderful and unique event that we had when we were young! The Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Company started its Santa Visit on the fire truck within the community on Christmas Eve 1968. For the citizens that wants us to make a special invitation to stop at their home for a personal visit with Santa please message them at their Facebook page. Of course, donations are welcomed during this event.

The following message was posted on Shenandoah Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page on December 6, 2023.

“Santa will be coming to town Christmas Eve night on the fire truck. This is a tradition that has been continued over 50 years with 100% volunteers giving their time to make this possible. The trucks will leave shortly after dark. If you would like Santa to stop at your house please message the page with your name and address. We always strive to make every stop possible. In order to help us, please have your porch light on, with kids outside waiting. Town Route - Starts at First St and works their way up throughout town County Route - Start North around Rudy’s Diner and comes South Thank you for your continued support and donations are appreciated.”
