I would like to introduce a new band in town called Whistlin' Dixie. The band is new, but John & Brenda Borus have been playing music for a long time. I just came from a private audition, and I have to tell you...these guys are great! I may be a little prejudice, as I am their neighbor, and our neighborhood gets a free concert whenever they are practicing. Call 652-1277 to book them.
December 19th, 2010: Since going public with their band in November, John and Brenda have played at the Shenandoah Moose and performed Christmas songs at the Coffee Pot on Saturday December 18th. They are making plans to appear in public events in Shenandoah for next year.
If you have an event you would like them to perform at, you had better call them now, as these guys are HOT!

Shenandoah has a new band in town called Whistlin Dixie. This husband and wife team has been performing for over twenty years. Brenda handles the bass with her left hand and numerous keyboard instruments with her right. John plays the acoustic, electric, 12 string and slide guitar. John is from New York City and Brenda is from Savannah. They met at Ft. Myers Fl in the late 80’s, playing the tough crowds on the beaches of the Gulf coast. They relocated to Shenandoah in 1992. They perform Country, Southern Rock, Classic Rock and Blues. If you have an event and are looking for a band, give them at call at 652- 1277.
