If you are between the ages of 35 to 55+ you may remember or even have been delivered by Dr. Waff. He passed away on Tuesday January 23, 1979. He practiced medicine in our town for nearly 57 years. His office was located on Pennsylvania Avenue, just a few hundred feet west of the Fire Department.
Dr Waff and his wife Mary lived in a brick house on Highway 340. This house still stands, and is located to the right of the Shenandoah Elementary School. Many will recall that his house was the one that had the ivy growing up the side of the house.
The Obituary and Editorial was published in the Daily New Record. The office picture appeared in the book Shenandoah A History of Our Town And Its People.
