Have you noticed all the new homes that have been built or is being built in the Town of Shenandoah? We saw 4 on 2nd street (near Stevens Cottage), one at Shenandoah Avenue; one at intersection of Osceola & 8th street; one at the intersection of Grandos & Wahnona Streets and one on Seventh Street. There are new homes recently built and three currently under construction in Forest Knolls Subdivision also.
We asked Shenandoah Town Manager Juanita Roudabush whom was building these new homes & she replied “The major contractors in Town for the new homes are James Shifflett-Superior Siding & Home Improvements; and Shane Rickel - Rickel Contracting, Inc. Others who have done at least one or more recently: Steve Good - Klass Homes, LLC; CMH Homes, Inc.; and RT Homes, LLC. Grace Custom Homes for some home additions.”
We also saw that Kline May Realty is listing a lot of these new homes that are currently under construction.
In addition to all this new home construction, we read this in the July 25, 2017 Town Council Minutes: “Town Manager Roudabush informed Mayor Lucas and Council Members of interest in the Mountain View Subdivision. The engineer who would like to take over the subdivision plans to revive 22 lots and is also looking into vacant buildings for businesses. Town Manager Roudabush explained there is a sewer connection available to the subdivision, but the engineer will need to receive an easement to install a water line connection from Edgewood Drive.” The below picture shows two houses on 2nd Street that they just started building.
