This morning while driving along First Street in Shenandoah, we saw this Union Pacific locomotive. On the locomotives side was the words Building America and the American Flag was also painted on its side. On Union Pacific’s website we found- Building America. That’s our calling. For more than 150 years, we’ve helped the country grow and prosper by carrying the goods that feed, comfort, clothe and protect our great nation. We believe in what we do, because we believe in this country, and we couldn’t be more proud of serving it. That’s why we fly the American flag on the side of our locomotives - so that we never lose sight of the reason we come to work every day. The town has a nice pocket park on First Street across from the town hall where train enthusiast can sit and enjoy watching a wide variety of trains as they come thru Shenandoah.
