The Page County Sheriff’s Office Escorts Easter Bunny in Shenandoah on Saturday April 1, 2023. They also visited
the towns of Luray and Stanley.
This annual event was started by the Page County Sheriff’s Office back on March 28, 2021 due to the COVID-19 restrictions. The mobile Easter Bunny visited Shenandoah 7-11 parking lot, Stanley’s Ed Good Park and Luray’s Ralph Dean Park.
“The below article was posted on the Page County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page on March 21, 2021.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for next Saturday at Ralph Dean Park, and advertised on the Town of Luray's event cards has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please understand that this decision was not easy and not taken lightly. We utilize property owned by the Town of Luray for this event. We need to be respectful and consider their requirements and rules, as well as abiding by the Governor’s orders.
We have an alternative event, giving the kids an opportunity to meet the Easter bunny in each town next Saturday. See our flyer.”
