On Saturday December 13th the Town of Shenandoah held its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Big Gem Park. There was caroling and then the mayor read a Christmas story. Afterward all the children got to sit on Santa's lap and each received a small gift from Santa. Members from the Shenandoah Indians Baseball Organization were on hand serving hot chocolate and cookies.
