If you have driven thru the railroad archway on Maryland Avenue in Shenandoah withing the last few days, you would have seen

signs indicating left shoulder closed. Two sections of the concrete walk way have caved in. On Friday November 8, 2024, we reached out to Shenandoah Town Manage for an update on the status of the repair work for the sidewalk.

“VDOT was working with their Bridge Division as they handle Concrete Repairs. They were planning on casting the 2 pieces this week or next and bringing them over to replace the broken sections. From what we can tell, it looks like a vehicle ran up on the sidewalk and caved in the 2 sections. We might get notice for the date of the repair, otherwise it will be posted on their traffic alert website as they will need to close that side to do the repair.”
