The Shenandoah Computer Center has won the Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver Award Category for Innovation in utilization. Computer Center Supervisor Joyce Fluharty and volunteer Instructor Bruce Arnold accepted the award at the Shenandoah Valley Technology Council Tech Nite awards banquet on Wednesday May 3, 2017.

This award recognizes outstanding commercial growth and achievement by an established company that either produces or markets high tech products or services, or an established company or organization that produces/offers more traditional products and services (where technology itself is not the core business purpose).

Once a year, the Shenandoah Valley Technology Council (SVTC), the Valley’s regional organization for technology users and creators, recognizes and highlights the achievements of local technology firms, organizations and programs and the entrepreneurs and innovators behind those successes. During the SVTC’s seventeenth annual Tech Nite on May 3rd at the JMU Festival Conference Center more than 250 attendees gathered to recognize the Valley’s technology users and creators.

The Shenandoah Computer Center was also 2015 winner of the Virginia Municipal League Achievement Award. Follow this link to learn more about the Computer Center winning the VML Award.
