We were driving down Virginia Avenue in Shenandoah this week and noticed that the town is now displaying the United States Space Force flag at Veterans Park.
This new flag is attached under the United States Air Force Flag.
We noticed that the town was removing the Juniper ground cover at Veterans Park. We asked Charlie Jenkins, Shenandoah Town Manager what was going on and he said “It had gotten crazy overgrown. We are going to redo that area.”
Below are a few pictures we took after the Juniper ground cover had been removed.
The above picture is what Veterans Park looked like when it was dedicated in May 2012.
