Update on the Shenandoah Heritage Center's Caboose Project as of April 11, 2017: We are still about $9,000 short of our goal of $30,000 needed to build the cover over the caboose. Any donations are welcome.
January 16, 2016: Plans are underway to build a shelter over the caboose which is located by Stevens Cottage. This structure will have an architectural design similar to the Cottage, and will provide the caboose with much needed protection against the elements. Charlie Campbell and Penny Gray kicked off the fundraising in the fall, with a barbequed pork event, including side dishes. They plan to hold another barbeque in the spring.
