Nathaniel Brewer went before the Town Council on February 22, 2022 to propose his idea for
his Eagle Scout Project - a pavilion at the Shenandoah Landing and River Park. The Town Council unanimously approved his proposal.
The picnic pavilion was completed on September 18, 2022 with the assistance of Members of Shenandoah Boy Scout Troop 8, as well as, friends and family.
Nathaniel is thankful to his family and friends that have supported him throughout this lengthy journey, including his Pastor and church family for believing in him and praying for his success. Nathaniel had many individuals and businesses that gave generous donations. Page Meadows for pouring the concrete foundation. Romeo Pugliese Mamma (Mia Italian Restaurant) fed the group of volunteers while they worked on the picnic shelter on Saturday September 17, 2022.
Nathaniel is the son of Monica & Lee Brewer and grandson of Shenandoah Mayor Clinton Lucas Jr. all from Shenandoah Va.
The Shenandoah Landing & River Park is located at 315 Morrison Road, Shenandoah, VA 22849 and is located next to the William Milnes Jr Bridge (Shenandoah River Bridge).
Enjoy all the seasons at the Shenandoah River Park. There are facilities for picnics, a paved trail and wildlife. You can fish, go boating, jet skiing, go tubing, rent a canoe or do all. There are picnic tables and grills for cookouts. There is a swing and a gazebo. The gazebo can be rented for special events.
