We were driving around town this week looking at all the fall foliage colors.

We stopped at the stop light at intersection of Maryland Avenue and Fourth Street when the maple tree next to the town cannon caught our eye. It had a beautiful display of fall colors, so we drove around and took a few photographs. Most years this same tree has excellent color this time of year.

Did you know the town cannon was installed at the corner of the Shenandoah Elementary school in October 1934 by the American Legion, Stewart Comer Post No. 106.
