Within the past few years, there have been a lot of new home construction in the Town of Shenandoah.  As we drove around town on January 1, 2023, we saw three more homes that have recently been built, two on South Eight Street and one on Central Avenue next to Rail Fan Lane. At Forest Knolls Subdivision we saw a new home for sale and another one under construction.

There are plans to construct a new apartment complex on Pennsylvania Avenue at the site of the Historic Verbena Lodge Building. This developer currently owns the apartments at 308 First Street and plans to build low to mid-income housing on the Pennsylvania property. During the December 13, 2022 Town Council Meeting, it was announced there are plans to tear down the Historic Lodge building in January 2023.
