Thursday July 2, 2026. The concrete pad has been poured and the basketball goal has been installed. It is now
ready for use!
According to Shenandoah Town Manager Charlie Jenkins, half-court lines will be soon painted on the concrete pad.

Monday June 22, 2026. This afternoon we visited Big Gem Park. We saw Turner Concrete and Excavating working on a half-court basketball pad. It will measure 30’ x 50’ and will be located next to the rear parking lot, left of the picnic shelter.
The Town of Shenandoah Va. received a $8,000 grant from Page Alliance for Community Action (PACA) for this project last year.
We will post updates to this page as work continues on this project.
