Shenandoah Twilight Street Sprints 2013
The first ever Shenandoah Twilight Street Sprint race was conducted on Friday April 26. First Street was closed at 5pm and the competition start at 6Pm. The Street Sprints was an exhibition in bracket format with individual racers competing head-to-head to determine the fastest sprinters in each category. The races were head-to-head sprints between 2 bikers, one after the other, with the winners of each sprint moving through a bracket format until final winners were decided in each category. This was a kickoff event for the Tour of Page County that was held on April 27-28 in Luray. Friday’s winners receive call-ups to the front of the starting line for Saturday’s road race in Luray. The event was sponsored by Page Valley Cycling with the assistance of the Town of Shenandoah.
