It was another nail biter at Stonewall Memorial Park in Elkton this evening as the Shenandoah Indians hosted the Rappahannock Monarchs! The Indians found them self’s trailing due to some costly errors and hot bats and good pitching from the Monarchs. It was bottom of the ninth inning, I will repeat, it was the bottom of the ninth and the Indians were trailing by 6 big runs! As the Indians were coming in to bat, one of the players shouted out “We only need 6 runs” Well the Indians bats got hot and they got more than 6 runs and won it 9-8!!! This is the third week in a row where the Indians made a come from behind victory. I believe from now on we will be calling them “the Kardiac kids”!!!
Next Sunday July 27th the 7 & 2 Indians are on the road to take on the Culpeper Red Devils at the Culpeper High School at 2pm.
