Update October 5, 2014:In case you missed it, today was the community picnic and dedication of the shelter at Big Gem Park. It was a very good turnout. The crowd was entertained by music performed by the Kite family. A big thank you to the Shenandoah Heritage Center & Shenandoah Industrial Corporation for sponsoring this community event. Attached are a few photographs we took during this event.
Shenandoah will hold its first community picnic Sunday October 5th from 2 to 5 pm.
It will be held at the picnic shelter at Big Gem Park.

This shelter is rapidly becoming a very popular attraction in the park. Since the shelter opened in mid-July, it has been reserved 11 time so far!
