This year there is a new place to visit in Shenandoah to see the fall foliage. The Biking/Hiking trails at Big Gem Park is an excellent place to witness the changing of the seasons.

You’ll want to take your camera, to capture the beauty of the changing leaves, as there are many photogenic opportunities along the trails. Don’t be surprised if you happen to see a deer, squirrel, rabbit or the famous trail ground hog along the way. Some of the best views of the colorful trees can be found along the trail as it winds around the ball field area in the rear of the park- see photos below.

Just drive around to the rear parking lot and the start of the trails is just past the metal gate. Just follow the signs and enjoy the park!
